How to Choose the Right Outdoor Canopy for You
Thinking about getting a canopy for your property? A1 Tarps can help you pick the right canopy that meets all your needs.
Canopies are, in a nutshell, a frame that holds a tarp. They come in a variety of sizes and configurations to meet many different demands and purposes. At A1 Tarps, we offer almost every type of canopy you can think of. That means all you have to do is pick the best one for you. But if you don't know much else about canopies, that can be a challenge.
We have more than 40 years of experience helping people find the best tarps and canopies for their needs. We have seen the ingenuity and creativity of event organizers, business owners and homeowners and have stocked our shelves with the kinds of canopies they need. Because of that, we can help you evaluate what sort of outdoor canopy is the best for you. Follow these simple steps to narrow down your choices.
Find Your Purpose
The first and most important question to consider is what you want to protect. You can find outdoor canopies specifically made to protect:
- Cars, trucks and other vehicles.
- Lawn and garden equipment.
- Plants.
- Building or landscaping materials.
- People.
Once you know the answer to that, you can shop with more focus. If you want to create a safe place for growing plants, for instance, then you'll get a lot of value out of a greenhouse canopy. Or if you want to work on your car but don't have a brick-and-mortar garage, a portable garage or carport will do the trick.
Consider the Size
Consider the size of the area you want to protect. Obviously, you should ensure the canopy is big enough to cover that area. If you are planning a small family gathering, for example, a pop up canopy will likely work, because a smaller area will need to be covered. A larger event, however, will likely require a party tent.
Pick Your Place
Consider the location in which you want to place that shelter, and for how long you want it to be there. Event organizers may not be able to keep a party tent at a location for too long, so something that is easy to put up and take down can be very helpful.
You may live in an area that has restrictive codes about temporary structures, so you'll need to place them accordingly. Once you know where it is going and how long it will be there, you'll be able to better determine what sort of canopy frame will work best.
Pop-Up Tents in a Pinch
If you are stumped on any or all of those three questions, just remember that a 10' x 10' pop-up party tent can serve as a good catch-all. Made to open and close easily, these types of canopy tents are widely used at outdoor festivals, tailgating, fundraisers, sales events and so much more. If you want to provide some basic shelter but want flexibility, a pop up canopy tent can be an outstanding investment.
We Can Help
If you are still stumped, or if you have questions about the canopies we offer, we can help. Our outdoor canopy experts at A1 Tarps are ready to help you find the perfect canopy for your needs.
