Building Tarp
Is a tarp a good protection for a house or commercial building? If you buy the right size, thickness and material, the answer is yes. From the early stages of construction to renovations and repairs, building tarps can be used to protect equipment, supplies and structures from UV rays, moisture and debris.
Vinyl Tarps
Vinyl building tarps are durable, reliable and perfect for using around a construction site. These tarps are waterproof and mildew, UV, oil and acid resistant. They come in a variety of thicknesses, sizes and colors. To avoid losing track of your tarp, try purchasing a bright, easy to spot color. Our 18-ounce and 27-ounce vinyl tarps are going to be the strongest you can find, and you'll want to consider them when it comes to covering expensive machinery or equipment.
For outdoor construction sites during the winter, take a look at our insulated vinyl tarps. These can protect equipment and supplies from cold temperatures as well as the usual snow, wind and rain. They are tear, mildew, rot, chemical, salt and abrasion resistant, all of which are important for use on construction sites.
Poly Tarps
The most common type of tarp is a polyethylene tarp. These affordable and versatile tarps are UV resistant and waterproof. They will protect your materials and exposed structures from harmful weather conditions. The 12-millimeter tarps are great for covering any machinery or equipment you have at your construction site. The light 8-millimeter tarps can be used to cover the bed of your truck as you haul tools and materials to and from the site.
Our 100' x 100' heavy-duty poly tarp is going to be one of the best materials for large construction cover. It's tear resistant, so it can stand up to the elements and handle heavy boots walking over it. It's also waterproof and breathable, which can help prevent mildew and moisture buildup.
Fire-Retardant Tarps
One of the last things you want to risk is your building or construction site catching on fire. That's why A1 Tarps offers fire-retardant poly tarps that have been certified by the California State Fire Marshal. The times you will most want to use a fire-retardant tarp are during the winter when space heaters are being used, in the summer when fire season is at its peak and any time after electrical wiring has been installed. Faulty wiring or heating equipment can lead to flames. A fire-retardant tarp can help stop the spread and protect your site and building from major damage.
Our fire-retardant tarps come in either white or silver. These tarps are 12-millimeters thick, UV resistant, waterproof and rot proof. They have the same qualities as a normal poly tarp with the added protection from fires.
Custom Sizes
Not all construction sites are the same, and you might find that traditional tarp sizes aren't cutting it when it comes to protecting your building, equipment and materials.
